During the 46th IPL match in IPL 2017, between RCB and KKR in Bengaluru, Kolkata Knight Riders created history by scoring the highest IPL powerplay score. The match was played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The target was to score 159 runs to win. Sunil Narine came in to open the innings with Chris Lynn. Sunil in which Narine scored the fastest IPL half-century to date (on 15 balls). KKR scored 105-0 in the first six overs.

Lynn (49*) and Sunil Narine (54*) posted the highest powerplay scores in IPL history.

• At number 5 comes the team of Kings XI Punjab, who scored 86 runs at the loss of 1 wicket while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014. It is one of the highest powerplay score in IPL history team.

LOWEST POWERPLAY SCORE IN IPL: Sun Riser Hyderabad (SRH) 14/3

SRH were 14/3 in the first 6 overs against RR in their first IPL 2022 match. SRH recorded the joint-lowest powerplay score in IPL history against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022.

In the first six overs, RR bowled two maiden overs against SRH. SRH lost the wickets of Kane Williamson, Rahul Tripathi and Nicholas Pooran in the powerplay.
