  • BCCI is considering introducing the ‘Power Player’ rule in the next edition. According to this rule, the team can change the player at any time in the match after the fall of the wicket or after the end of the over. Its final decision can be taken in the IPL Governing Council meeting.
  • Under this rule, teams will have to select 15 players instead of the final 11. So that when there is a need to change players, they can be replaced by ‘power players’.
