T20 World Cup 2024 Warm-Up Matches – T20 Betting: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule of warm-up matches before the T20 World Cup 2024. In this, 17 out of 20 teams participating in the T-20 World Cup have been given a chance to play.

Three teams will not play practice matches. This includes the Pakistan team led by Babar Azam along with the England and New Zealand teams. Team India will get a chance to play the only warm-up match against Bangladesh.

The warm-up matches will start from May 27, which will continue till June 1, 2024. In the ICC T20 WC 2024, total of 16 warm-up matches will be played. The 9th edition of the T-20 World Cup will begin on June 2 with the match between America and Canada.

Team India will play its first match against Ireland on June 5. All the World Cup matches will be played in West Indies and America. The warm-up matches will be hosted at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, Queens Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.

These 15 Players Can Play

A team usually plays two warm-up matches in the T-20 World Cup. But this time ICC has given the flexibility to the teams that they can play one warm-up match instead of two.

Warm-up matches will not get the status of International T20 matches. In this match, teams can field all their 15 players. However, only 10 wickets will be taken at the time of batting.

Tickets for the practice matches can be purchased from May 16 at Tickets.t20worldcup.com or at the box office at the National Cricket Center and Queens Park Oval.

Why Won’t Pakistan Team Play?

Pakistan and England teams are not playing warm-up matches in the T20 World Cup because both these teams will play a 4-match T20 series from May 22. This series will run till May 30.

In such a situation, this series is important for both teams to prepare for the T20 World Cup. Both teams will arrive late for the World Cup, hence both teams have not been kept to play the warm-up match.

India Has Upper Hand

Talking about the head-to-head record of India and Bangladesh teams in T-20, till now both the teams have faced each other 13 times. During this period, India has had the upper hand. Team India has won 12 out of 13 matches. Bangladesh has won only one match.
