Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman Virat Kohli has been fined for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during their IPL 2023 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, stated a media release issued by the IPL.
A fine of 10 per cent of the match fee has been imposed. Kohli admitted to a Level 1 offence under Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct.
The decision of the Match Referee is final and binding for Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct. In such a situation, there will be no further hearing on this, but he will have to pay a fine of 10 per cent of the match fee.
However, the information has not been revealed due to which Virat Kohli has been fined. In this match, Virat Kohli scored only 6 runs in 4 balls and he was bowled by Akash Singh. The ball took the edge of the bat.
